Theme from "The Flintstones" (Hoyt Curtin)

About the Song

Fantasic soundtrack for a fantastic TV cartoon. In particular the B-52 cover is great. Some say that the melody is derived from Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 17. Part B, Movement 2, to be precise. I don't care.

Original Key

I don't know. Beethoven is D minor, Movement 2 is Bb. I looked it up.

Tuning

Regular gCEA (works well in low G)

Tab Notes

This is a very very very stripped down basic simplified notation of the tune. In fact this piece is quite sophisticated. Horn sections and all that stuff. But I suppose we would not love the uke if we would care.  Even though most chords are "7" type, you have to sometimes finger the "basic" chord in order to include the melody tone. Really fun to play.

Have a yabba-dabba-doo time !
