CAN CAN / GALOP INFERNAL  (J. OFFENBACH)

About

No stupid, this is not Suzie Quatro, that was Can THE Can. It is the most famous „Galop Infernal“  from Jaques Offenbach’s opera „Orpheus in the Underworld“ (1858), better known as „Can Can“,  a french showdance. By the way, Offenbach’s father Isaac was born in my hometown and adopted the city name as a surname.

Original Key

no idea

Tuning

gCEA, works also in low G

Tab Notes

Three parts - main theme [ A ], the second theme [ B ] and a bridge [ C ]. All played lively, but not to fast. Part [ C ] jumps up 12th fret, but that is the greatest challenge in this piece. The parts can be combined and repeated as you like, before you want to finish, go from the end of the first line (segno) to the fine, repeat three times and end with the closing cadence.
