About
Recently tabbed out Mathilda upon request, so that was a good opportunity to bring to form „the other song“ of Harry Belafonte.
Lots of other versions on the web, but none I found had that nice triplet irregular part. *
Original Key
?
Tuning
Low G
Tab Notes
Three parts:
A - „Day O ….“. In line 2, bar 2 there is a variation on the straight four bar theme.
B - „Six foot, seven foot …“. Stays on the root chord for the first three bars.
C - „Come, Mista Tallyman …“ The reason why it has to be Low G.
* PS: Received a kind e-mail from Helmut Bickel from Austria. On his YT channel, he explains how to play it - including the triplet part.
Sorry, Helmut. Nix für ungut.
