The theme appears in a number of scenes during the film, all of the variations in different keys, moods and instrumentations. Just a brief little melody snippet and a two-bar pentatonic riff, that’s mainly it. But it is so atmospheric and beautiful.

Does of course not even come close to the soundtrack, but I love playing around with the different motifs.  

I did not tab a fixed song sequence, just the main melody and some of the rhythm figures. Can be freely combined, up to you. 

Sorry to disrespect the composer’s intention. In a documentary about the movie Hans Zimmer said: „Barry (Levinson, the producer) and I very quickly decided on we were only going to have two rules: no jangling guitars and no big string sections“. I am fine with the „no strings“ part.
