Beast of Burden (Jagger / Richards)

From the „Some Girls“ album, which was the first Stones record I got. Keith’s way to say thank you to Mick for running the band while he was curing his drug thing. Very cool song and a great lead riff with a tricky rhythm. Brillant how those two guitars of Ron and Keith mingle together. The cover by Bette Midler is also superb.

Original Key

E major (Capo on II and you can play along)

Drop D

Tab Notes

No rush, this is ultimately laid back.

The timing is a little hard to write down. Mind that the upbeat of the riff is slightly before the 4+ beat.
