About
Something completely different today and absolutely untypical for ZZ Top. A wonderful latin-blues nylon string instrumental, very relaxed and smooth and tasteful. I re-discovered the tune some time ago when I started to listen to my old vinyl albums again. Among them was „Tejas“, which includes this little masterpiece.
Original Key
Bb minor
Tuning
Regular (original / to play along with the record: tune 1/2 step down)
Tab Notes
[ A ] is the chromatic intro, repeated in the middle and at the end
For the main part [ B ], an improvisation over the Bminor scale, you will need a partner for the accompaniment (slow arpeggio picking pattern of the standard chords). This part is played twice. I am definitely not the world’s greatest solo-transcriber, however I tried to catch some of these beautiful licks of Billy Gibbons.
[ C ] is the bridge leading to the outro part.
